What’s your biggest flex?
I see a lot of “dream life” talk these days on the socials. Everyone (it seems) is talking the talk. But, I’m wondering how many are walking the walk. I’d ask, what’s your biggest flex? In the world of social media, splashing the car, the watch, the hell-expensive is one thing, MARKETING. But here’s the think no one is telling you… the stuff you want (or think you want) has TWO price tags. One is called MONEY and the other is called TIME. The $300,000 car will require a substantial time investment. When you ask yourself can I afford this? Also ask yourself, do I want to do the work…

Kim and I have been sharing our journey on this podcast, bits and pieces spread between various episodes. It was Enough for James Corden
James Corden just turned down $50M dollars to extend his Late Late Show gig. That seems crazy-pants, right? $50M for just 5 more years, who would turn that down? The reality is, not many people would. Most actors and athletes would never turn that amount of cabbage down. They keep going, keep climbing, no matter the cost on their family or their health. James knew, enough was enough. WATCH THE INTERVIEW HERE. When is Enough, Enough? It’s no secret that Rob and I believe that after the essentials of life are met, ENOUGH is ENOUGH when work encroaches on the things that are important in your life for happiness. It’s…

Finding our Zone of Genius lead to FriDate Italia
Last month, Rob and I read The Big Leap and Genius Zone in preparation for an interview with the author Gay Hendricks (listen to interview here). As we learned about the Zone of Genius, we realized that we had some brainstorming to do. According to the author, your Zone of Genius is the zone where your natural talents and enthusiasms intersect. When you’re in your genius zone, you’re taking advantage of your unique abilities and doing what you love. In his books, Hendricks suggests that we gain more fulfillment and happiness when we spend more time on activities in our zone of genius. And, we are all about finding that…

What I’ve learned about ‘Living’ from the Italians
My entire life, I’ve been told that the secret to a fulfilling life is hustle and hard work; the reverse is true for me. I’ve made more money when I enjoyed my life thoroughly, than when I was pounding away in the never-ending grind. At this point in my life, I’ve realized there’s a sweet spot between business success and living a great life. For me, and I assume, most of you, working enough isn’t the problem. The bigger issue is knowing when to put down the checklist and step into LIVING. Over the years of traveling to Italy, I’ve picked up on the framework of the Italian’s La Dolce…

FriDate: On the Fly
Cancel culture sucks. Here’s the thing about having a public profile… The moment you say something that the status-quo doesn’t agree with… you’re cancelled!! Debate is dead… and, we’re honestly tired of the BS and censorship. Plus, there are topics that sometimes we want to tackle, but it’s not truly in the lane of our regular FriDate Podcast. So, last Fall, Rob and I started a PRIVATE podcast where we talk about our deep opinions on taboo topics BEHIND the wall and into a private community where you can vote with your feet (and your credit card lol). FriDate: On the Fly is a PRIVATE podcast we produce unedited and…

Finding Our La Dolce Vita in Florence
La Dolce Vita translates to The Sweet Life. This phrase came from the iconic Fellini movie of the same name that depicted life in 1950’s Rome. Today, la dolce vita is an expression used to describe a life full of beauty and pleasures. It means a life of music, love, good music and food. I came to Florence at 16 during a school trip and instantly felt a special energy, almost like I was home. At such a young age, I couldn’t really process or understand the feeling I had walking these ancient cobblestone streets. Unknowingly, one of the photos that I took of a sunset over the Arno River…
